FotoFest 2006 Last month
FotoFest announced the dual themes for FotoFest 2006 –
The Eleventh International Biennial of Photography and
Photo-Related Art.
The Earth The broad theme of Earth is an
extension of FotoFest 2004 and the focus on Water. The
combination of art, science, and public policy through art
installations and forums is a direction that FotoFest is
continuing.
Artists Responding to Violence This is a
separate but related theme to that of Earth. The capacity of
human society to inflict violence upon itself and the Earth is
increasing. FotoFest is not focusing on the depiction of
violent acts but rather on how creative artists interpret acts
of violence and the human capacity for violence in all aspects
of life.
If you are interested in submitting work, please see the
newly revised FotoFest 2006 Submission Guidelines. Please do not submit
work before reading these guidelines. |
