INTERBIENNIAL EVENTS

FotoFest has a year-round exhibition and event schedule that does not end with the biennial! A show of younger Texas-based photographers curated by FotoFest Exhibits Coordinator Jennifer Ward is planned for fall 2006. Stay tuned for the announcement of the themes for FOTOFEST2008.

 


INTERNSHIPS/VOLUNTEERS

Internships are available to students, artists and individuals interested in the arts. Internships are available to individuals from the U.S. and abroad. For more information about internships, click here.

Volunteers are essential to all non-profit organizations. We are looking for interested and reliable people of all ages to for gallery hosting, office help, exhibition installations and special events. If you're interested in volunteering, please contact Marianne Stavenhagen at info@fotofest.org.

Very shortly, we will be profiling a volunteer every month on our website.

Literacy Through Photography

FotoFest’s Literacy Through Photography, a pre-collegiate writing and photography program aimed at improving literacy and writing skills through the use of photography, mounted its sixteenth annual exhibit of student art and writing projects, May 15 – May 20, 2006, at The Galleria in Houston, one of the largest public commercial centers in the U.S.
