These photographs depict the relatively remote and untouched cliff and seascape at Gilbjerg Hoved, known as 19th century philosopher Soren Kierkegaard's favorite place and source of contemplation. They don’t show that the area is relatively developed with summer homes and farms. An optical distortion is obtained by moving the lens and film planes of the view camera on a perpendicular axis.
