The artist is a printmaker as well as a photographer, and she? is experimental at both. In traditional photogravure, the photographed image is transferred to copper plates that are then run through a printing press. The latest digital inkjet inks are popular not only for their resistance to fading and discoloration, but also for their likeness to the rich, velvety hues achieved in older printmaking processes such as photogravure.
