INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM | PORTFOLIO REVIEW WORKSHOPS

FotoFest Workshops

PhotoImagen 2010 | Santo Domingo and Santiago, Dominican Republic

FotoFest Meeting Place Director Marta Sanchez Philippe is giving four portfolio workshops for professional photographers and students in the Dominican Republic, in conjunction with the fourth PhotoImagen festival of photography in Santo Domingo and Santiago. The U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic is supporting the FotoFest workshops. Marta Sanchez Philippe is talking to photographers about how to prepare a photo portfolio for professional presentation and worldwide opportunities for portfolio reviews, including a large number of new portfolio reviews in Latin America.

Lens Culture FotoFest Paris 2010

International Portfolio Reviews and Meeting Place for Photographers

Lens Culture FotoFest Paris 2010 is a collaboration between FotoFest and Lens Culture. It is hosted at Spéos Paris Photographic Institute. It is the very first, large-scale international review of this format to take place in Paris.

Lens Culture FotoFest Paris 2010 will be three days of portfolio reviews and meetings with 40 international photography experts. Lens Culture FotoFest Paris takes place in conjunction with Paris Photo, and during the Month of Photography in Paris.

2010 Discoveries of the
Meeting Place

The 2010 Discoveries of the Meeting Place exhibition will be exhibited in Mexico City at the Centro de la Imagen during the XIV Bienal de Fotografia 2010. The 2010 Discoveries exhibition is the eighth in a series created by FotoFest to promote artists registered at the Biennial Meeting Place Portfolio Reviews.

FotoFun 2011
The annual fundraiser for FotoFest’s Literacy Through Photography (LTP) school-based student writing and photography program.

This child focused event offers a chance for kids to engage in fun activities like crafts and games while the money raised supports the FotoFest LTP program working in inner-city schools throughout Houston.

Previous FotoFun events have raised over $75,000 for the LTP Program.
