The seminar really launched me into the entire FOTOFEST2008 event and it provided me with additional opportunities to mingle/speak with artists and view some very inspiring work.

The range of marketing tools available today enable artists and arts professionals to introduce their work to the world.  From websites to e-mail, e-newsletter to blogs, social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter all represent potential promotional tools.  This seminar shows artists and arts professionals how to establish an exciting and effective online presence to gain exposure and visibility for themselves and their art work.

The one-day seminar created for FotoFest by nationally known marketing consultant and educator Mary Virginia Swanson and photographer Katrina d’Autremont provides an overview of the on-line marketing options that enable artists and arts professionals to greatly expand their audiences. 

Participants will hear from gallery, museum and editorial professionals on e-marketing efforts that are effective in making a strong and lasting impression.  Editors of publications will share their insights on the inter-relationship between printed books and publishing in the on-line environment.  Self-promotion has forever changed. This seminar will help artists, arts professionals and the interested public to learn how to expand their audiences off- and on-line.
