FotoFest's 2010 Biennial Exhibitions continue through late April in Houston, Texas. Below is a calendar of FotoFest Biennial events in April and May. Inspired by the FotoFest 2010 Biennial theme, Contemporary U. S. Photography, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Film Department has programmed a companion film series.

Show us your photos from the FotoFest 2010 Biennial. There are over 110 spaces showing photography during the Biennial. No one can visit them all, but lots of people try. We'd love to see your photographs "trekking" around the city to see all the exhibitions and events. Share your 25 best images with us in the FotoFest Flickr Group and we'll choose the best to be included in a projected slide show at the FotoFest at Discovery Green event, Saturday, May 1, 6-9pm.

Join FotoFest's Literacy Through Photography (LTP) Educational Program on Sunday, May 9, 2010, 2-4pm at FotoFest Headquarters at Vine Street Studios, 1113 Vine Street, Houston 77002, for a celebration of writing and photography by LTP students, readings by student writers, and free family portraits in our green-screen photo booth. 

FotoFest’s annual FotoFence exhibition offers LTP elementary, middle and high school students the opportunity to professionally display their writing and photography to fellow students, teachers, families, school officials and the general public.

Over nine hundred student posters and essays from the 2009-2010 school year are being exhibited. Students’ stories and photographs address experiences in their own lives, their communities, their families and dreams as well as social issues, such as climate change, animal rights and teen pregnancy.  Participating schools include exemplary charter schools, inner-city schools and college preparatory schools.
