Kid's Fun Day
October 8, 2005
At the Fun Day, children and their parents participated in photography and writing activities related to the Literacy Through Photography program. The activities/stations planned for Family Day were:

Cyanotypes (a contact printing process resulting in a cyan colored print)

Photo Scavenger Hunt (prizes raffled off)

A writing station (will use photos to write about what happened before/after the image was made)

And a large scale group project using digital photography, writing and collage.

Literacy Through Photography (LTP) is FotoFestís school-based education program that uses photography to stimulate language and writing skills as well as cognitive learning in the classroom. The program has been working in Houston-area public schools since 1990 and reaches over 2,000 students a year.
