250 artists came to the Meeting Place with their portfolios to show their to 110 reviewers. The Meeting Place lasted nine days and was held at Rice University campus.

FotoFest 1996 International Fine Print Auction
126 artists donated photographs to the FotoFest 1996 Fine Print Audtion. Denise Bethel, Director of Sotheby's Photographs Department was the auctioneer. The auction took place at the FotoFest offices in the Innova Design Center on March 6, 1996.
