All Three pieces - Pain of Poison, Pigeon and Fountain - appropriate art
that takes water out of its context. The fountain art that Barry Anderson borrows shapes, contains,
and transforms the fluid, amorphous quality of water into an ornamental sculpture that distorts, if
not wholly ignores, its origin, function and even archetypal meaning.
