FotoFest Workshop with Brian Storm (MediaStorm)

FotoFest provides education opportunities to artists, arts professionals and the general public to further professional careers and stimulate appreciation for the art of photography. Previous issues that have been presented and discussed in FotoFest Biennial Workshops include: the workings of the art market, new trends in publishing, and new curatorial and artistic visions. FotoFest offers original workshops presented by some of the most respected arts and media professionals in the field today. Media and Marketing Experts, Publishers, Artists, Curators, and Editors bring their experience and expertise of art, the internet, social media networks, multi-media platforms, and curating in the contemporary art world, to FotoFest Workshops.

What Every Photographer Needs to Know!

With Alice S. Zimet, President of Arts + Business Partners and former Director, Worldwide Cultural Affairs, The Chase Manhattan Bank. She is Chair of the Photography Committee, Harvard Art Museums (Collections Committee), Board member of the Magnum Foundation, and a member of the International Center of Photography’s (ICP) Acquisitions Committee.

Exploring Creative Publishing will show photographers how artist-made books, print folios, traditional photo books, and electronic photo books can help expand a body of work. Photographers will learn how to utilize creative publishing to widen their reach to get their work seen and collected, how to connect traditional book forms with future electronic forms, and how these can lead to new marketing opportunities.

Free for Meeting Place Participants.
Registration is $50 for the general public and $25 for students.

Long Term Projects, Books, and Photo-Narratives

In looking at work for 20 years FotoFest founders and many reviewers have seen that many photographic artists encounter challenges with long term projects, books, and photo-narratives. FotoFest is beginning this new program to offer expanded review and consultation time for artists to have individualized editing and production sessions with professional experts and artists with strong experience in these aspects of photography.

Each Photographer will receive an individualized 45 minute session with a single reviewer. Spaces are limited. The Meeting Place is now taking registrations for this new program.

Registration Fee: $75 for Meeting Place Registrants. $100 for non Meeting Place registrants.
