Houston is very spread out and it can be challenging to get around the city without a car. The FotoFest hotel headquarter in downtown Houston is, however, centrally located near Houston’s MetroRail system and bus stops.
The city’s principal theatre, opera, ballet, and symphony are also located downtown. Restaurants, stores, Discovery Green Park and Buffalo Bayou Park are within walking distance of the Doubletree hotel.
The Museum District and the Doubletree Hotel can be reached by MetroRail. The Houston MetroRail is a 7.5 mile long light rail route connecting Downtown to Midtown, the Museum District, the Texas Medical Center, and Reliant Park. For more information click here.
Houston has recently unveiled a public bicycle share program, Houston Bcycle, with station across Downtown, Midtown, Montrose and the Museum District. A Bcycle stand is conveniently located just blocks from the DoubleTree.
