Maria Guadalupe Lara is currently the Director of the Foto Museo Cuatro Caminos, part of the Fundación Pedro Meyer, A.C., the foundation was founded in 2007.

Ms. Lara studied Mass Media at the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM - Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana) in Mexico City. Her professional activities have developed in the fields of cultural management as well as editorial and graphic productions. She directed the publications of the Center for the Study of the Labor Movement. Also worked at the CREA-Consejo Nacional de Recursos para la Atención de la Juventud,(National Resource Council for the Attention of Youth) coordinating the Film, Theater and Art programs. She collaborated in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Festival de la Raza that took place in Tijuana, B.C. From 1997 to 2012 she worked as Editorial Producer in GRUPO DESEA, S.A. DE C.V., a private company dedicated to audiovisual and editorial services and directed PÉNDULO, S.C., an editorial production company.

Ms. Lara is interested in seeing resolved bodies of work, and works-in-progress which show conceptual strength, originality of vision and that are suitable for exhibition. She is not interested in seeing commercial photography.
