PDNB Gallery, Dallas, TX, USA

PDNB Gallery (Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery) is an art gallery specializing in photography and photo-based works from the 20th Century to present. It opened inDallas in 1995.

Before opening the gallery Missy and her husband, Burt Finger, were private dealers in antiques, including fine watches, collectibles, and fine art.

Collecting photography became a passion of both Burt and Missy, which resulted in the opening of PDNB gallery. Missy has organized many group and solo exhibitions as well as a traveling exhibition. She served as Programming Chair for the Dallas Museum of Art’s Friends of Photography in the mid-1990’s. The gallery has been a long-time member of AIPAD (Association of International Photography Art Dealers) since 1997. Missy currently serves on the Board of AIPAD. The gallery is also a member of the Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas (CADD).

Missy graduated 1982 from the University of Texas, Austin with a BBA. Missy is particularly interested in innovative works that, while having historical reference, may require advanced media other than straight photography. Photojournalism is a special interest to the gallery. PDNB also favors exhibiting conceptual works. Missy is not looking for photographs of nudes, flowers or Ansel Adams-like landscapes, unless there is a new concept involved, or you are Ansel Adams.
