Schilt Publishing is a publisher of high profile journalistic, documentary and art photography books. Schilt is also the long-term publishing partner of World Press Photo. Since 2008, he has been the leading publisher of the World Press Photo Yearbook and from 2011 of the yearly publication Next, showing the work of the selected photographers from the World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass. More new book productions with World Press Photo are being prepared.
Starting in 2010, Schilt Publishing has co-published the Biennial catalogues of FotoFest, Houston. Ingram Publisher Services distributes Schilt Publishing in North America. Thames & Hudson distributes Schilt Publishing’s books in all other countries of the world. In 2013 Schilt Publishing erected a new company: Schilt Publishing Gallery. This company has as main purpose to serve Schilt Publishing-photographers even better, by offering print sales possibilties, shows and general representation.
Schilt is a portfolio reviewer at esteemed photo festivals all over the world. He is a member of the International Advisory Council to the Executive Director of Center for Photography in Santa Fe.
Schilt speaks fluently Dutch, English and German and has adequate knowledge of French and Italian.
