Andreas Müller-Pohle is a Berlin-based media artist and the Publisher and Editor of European Photography, an independent art magazine for contemporary photography and new media, of which he has published more than 90 issues to date. He has also issued major works by media philosopher Vilém Flusser, available today in the ten-volume Edition Flusser including the seminal book “Philosophy of Photography,” which has been translated into over 20 languages. He has also authored numerous texts on photo theory, and Visualism, among others. He has also been a visiting professor and instructor at universities.

Mr. Müller-Pohle has worked with photography and media projects since 1978, the most recent being Hong Kong Waters. He has had numerous exhibitions in Europe, North and South America, and Asia. In 2001 Müller-Pohle was awarded the European Photography Prize from the Reind M. De Vries Foundation and in 2005, he founded Eye-Mind, an individual reviewing/consulting initiative for photographers.

Mr. Müller-Pohle is mainly interested in conceptual media projects, works that deal with our contemporary condition, no matter what theme, subject or style. As a publisher and main partner of the International Photobook Festival in Kassel, Germany, he is particularly interested in reviewing book dummies.

He does not wish to review commercial or applied work or any kind of decorative imagery. He can also suggest Europena venues with publication opportunities, the possibility of publishing their work in his magazine, in print and online.
