Patricia Conde studied Art History at the Universidad Anáhuac. She worked as a writer for many years, and has published several short stories. Ms. Conde has always had an active part in the art world in Mexico, and she has been a collector of photography for many years.
In 2009, she opened Patricia Conde Galería. She began the gallery in collaboration with one of the most recognized photography curators in Mexico, Dr. Jose Antonio Rodriguez. The first exhibition was a success and defined the course of the gallery. The gallery’s main focus is to promote Mexican contemporary photography, and it only represents Mexican photographers.
Patricia Conde Galería is the only gallery in Mexico dedicated to photography. The gallery has participated in various important international fairs like ZonaMaco in Mexico City, Houston Fine Art Fair, Paris Photo L.A., Art Miami, Pinta New York, Lima Photo, Madridfoto and Summa, and it has been invited to participate in the first edition of Photo Shanghai.
With the years the gallery has expended to exhibit the work of other contemporary International artists like Michael Kenna, Leo Matiz, and Amy Arbus.
Ms. Conde is looking to find new international photographic work to exhibit at the gallery. She is interested in all kinds of contemporary photography. Ms. Conde does not wish to see commercial work.
