FotoFest 2014 Biennial

FotoFest 2014 Biennial

Monday, March 24, 2014 will take Auction attendess from New York to Beijing, Houston to Paris, and Beirut to Buenos Aires. It will be a night to remember.

It is a rare opportunity to see and purchase some of the world’s finest contemporary photographic art at one of Houston’s most exclusive arts events—the FotoFest 2014 International Fine Print Auction.

It is a festive, unforgettable way to acquire and share museum-quality art with your friends and support artists across the world. Anne Wilkes Tucker, the celebrated Gus and Lyndall Wortham Curator of Photography at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, says “No Auction can touch what FotoFest offers in terms of contemporary international work. It is the best international contemporary Auction of its kind in the United States.”

Alongside museum-quality artwork from Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the U.S., the 2014 Fine Print Auction and Gala will feature leading contemporary Arab photographic art.

There is no other event like the FotoFest International Fine Print Auction that offers this range and quality of contemporary photography available for purchase. One of the top auctioneers in the U.S., Denise Bethel, Senior Vice President of Photography from Sotheby’s New York, donates her time and services to the FotoFest Auction. This year the Auction will honor two of Houston’s most respected photographic arts collectors, long-time FotoFest supporters, Jim and Sherry Kempner.

We invite you to engage in the excitement of art and participate as a Sponsor of the FotoFest 2014 International Fine Print Auction. As a Table Sponsor, you will help spread FotoFest’s magic across the world, benefitting artists from over 60 countries, as well as students of FotoFest’s Literacy Through Photography education program.

We are offering five Premium $10,000 Sponsor Tables, as well as $5,000 and $3,000 Table Sponsorships.

The 2014 Fine Print Auction and Gala takes place Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton Downtown Houston.

Table Sponsors are eligible to participate in FotoFest 2014 Biennial special programs, private receptions, and sponsor-related events throughout 2014. Additional information about these events is available on the Sponsor Form.

FotoFest is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

All participating artists donate their work to FotoFest. Revenues from the print sales benefit FotoFest’s renowned international and U.S. artist programs. Table Sponsorships and Ticket Sales also support FotoFest’s school-based education program, Literacy Through Photography, providing more than 2,000 students in Houston-area public schools with cameras, teachers and a visual literacy curriculum that uses photography to improve writing and cognitive skills.

For the past thirty years, FotoFest has been an internationally respected force in discovering and presenting new artistic talent. The 2014 Auction celebrates contemporary Arab artists from the Middle East and North Africa and brings you some of the world’s best-known artwork from Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the U.S. FotoFest ensures the best quality work by selecting each artist and each artwork individually. FotoFest organizes this benefit Auction once every two years. The Auction is FotoFest’s principal fundraiser.

As the recipient of many national awards for positive impact on the world of photography in the U.S. and abroad, FotoFest is described by a European Photography, a leading international photography arts magazine, as the model for museum-quality international photographic arts events around the world.
