One of the top auctioneers in the U.S., Denise Bethel, Senior Vice President of Photography from Sotheby’s New York, donates her time and services to the FotoFest Auction. This year the Auction will honor two of Houston’s most respected photographic arts collectors, long-time FotoFest supporters, Jim and Sherry Kempner.

FotoFest is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
All participating artists donate their work to FotoFest. Revenues from the print sales benefit FotoFest’s renowned international and U.S. artist programs. Table Sponsorships and Ticket Sales also support FotoFest’s school-based education program, Literacy Through Photography, providing more than 2,000 students in Houston-area public schools with cameras, teachers and a visual literacy curriculum that uses photography to improve writing and cognitive skills.
For the past thirty years, FotoFest has been an internationally respected force in discovering and presenting new artistic talent. The 2014 Auction celebrates contemporary Arab artists from the Middle East and North Africa and brings you some of the world’s best-known artwork from Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the U.S. FotoFest ensures the best quality work by selecting each artist and each artwork individually. FotoFest organizes this benefit Auction once every two years. The Auction is FotoFest’s principal fundraiser.
