| The Meeting Place was energizing, motivating, enlightening and inspiring. Between what I learned and who I met, I can feed off the experience and use it to advance my current projects. |

| The Meeting Place remains a premier place to present work to a wide range of decision-makers and a wonderful spot to visit with old friends. |
- Candace Plummer Gaudiani,
Menlo Park, CA 2010 Meeting Place Registrant |
| The Meeting Place is an exciting forum for meeting with and reviewing the work of photo-based artists. While the artist might consider it solely as an opportunity to promote his or her own work, the arts professional – curators, gallerists, and publishers alike- is offered that same, unique occasion, one in which he/she has a chance to view photographic work from around the world. |

Over the past 24 years, hundreds of photographers have come to tell us, send letters and email us about the ways their careers have benefitted from FotoFest’s Meeting Place Portfolio Reviews. The Meeting Place, developed by FotoFest in 1986, has been the catalyst for hundreds of U.S. and international exhibitions, publications, sales and portfolio reproductions for attendees of the portfolio reviews.
We are glad to announce also that, ten Meeting Place artists whose works were picked by reviewers in 2008 to be part of the 2010 Discoveries of the Meeting Place will be shown in Mexico City at Mexico’s primary center for photography, the Centro de la Imagen in Mexico City, The Discoveries exhibitions, started in 1996, have traveled to Russia, Brazil and Mexico.
The artists who have sent their success stories to us are listed below alphabetically.
To see a list of the Reviewers’ Successes from the Meeting Place, please click here.
We are waiting for more of your stories! If you were able to arrange an exhibition, publication, or purchase of your work, please send your success stories to Sarah Craig, Meeting Place Assistant, meeting@fotofest.org and we will celebrate your successes here. We continually update these pages. If you have exhibitions, publications, or sales still pending, please send us an email, with images, once your projects are finalized.

She had another solo museum exhibition at the Musee de la Photographie in Charleroi, Belgium in 2004, which resulted from meeting the museum's director and curator, Xavier Canonne and Marc Vausort, at FotoFest.
